Located at the top of the Seattle Space Needle, SkyCity has a 360° view of downtown Seattle and the surrounding area. The slowly rotating dining room makes it impossible to have a bad seat. The fancy restaurant has every table covered with white tablecloths, surrounded by comfortable booths and faint lighting.

The service was outstanding and how I would have expected at such a wonderful restaurant. Our server knew the menu and answered questions we asked about it. She made suggestions on the food we should try and was very attentive.

There is a variety of food to choose from on the menu including poultry, beef, seafood, soup salad, and some side dishes. Kid’s menus are available and include hamburgers, chicken strips, and much more. Specials are also available at Skycity. I had a hamburger, mashed potatoes, and clam chowder, lobster tail was the most popular at our table.

My favorite item was the Lunar Orbiter, a small mound of ice cream covered with chocolate sauce and a tube shaped cookie sticking out of it. The bowl was floating in dry ice, causing steam to billow out over the table. The visual appeal of the Lunar Orbiter is so fantastic everyone should experience it.

If you like luxurious food and spectacular views, go to SkyCity restaurant. Although its adult oriented, kids of all ages will enjoy this diner. Tourists will definitely enjoy the cafe, and locals should go their at least once. If you were to go to one restaurant in Seattle, SkyCity is the perfect choice.
