Lost In Time
By Hans Magnus Enzensberger
Review by Vicki
No one noticed that a strange boy with gray eyes had left by accident and had aged two years when he finally came back to the same time, same place.
Robert, a thirteen year old boy experiences many adventures in the book, Lost in Time by Hans Magnus Enzensberger. He travels back and back until he finally has the sense to learn how to go back home.
In this history packed book, Robert, an absentminded boy rubs his eyes and can appear at whatever place he’s looking at. Each time he fits in at one place, an event occurs and he goes back in time to a different place. Throughout this book, he meets his grandmother as a child, a cheating princess, the strange spirited schoolmaster, and more.
During this book, Robert goes back in time and ends up going to a tavern. At the tavern, he meets robbers and decides to join them because he knew he wouldn’t be able to get a better offer. Robert succeeds and the leader of the gang gives him a job to lead the rest of the group. As he tries to lead the group, he fails and decides to leave. Hastily trying to run away, he gets hit in the head. As his eyesight blurs, he appears in another time again
This would be the perfect book for people who want to know a little more about history and loves adventure. In my opinion, this book isn’t worth reading, there wasn’t enough action and the book went by slowly.
