Warriors the New Prophecy: Twilight
By Erin Hunter
Review by Kylie
Imagine….. You are a young
cat, who has just finished a long and perilous journey through mountains and
plains. Four cats are leading you into a valley that has the most amazing view.
You can see a wide lake, with an island in the middle. Plains for a far as the
eye can see on one side, and bountiful forest areas on the other side. The sight is
breathtaking…
Brambleclaw, a noble warrior,
the man character of Erin Hunter’s Twilight, and a loyal member of Thunderclan,
has just escorted his clan to their new home in the valley. All Brambleclaw
wants is to be deputy. He has proven himself to be loyal and brave, but is that
enough to be deputy of Thunderclan?
In Twilight, the clans have
just come to their new home. Everyone is excited, although exhausted. Sadly,
they are once again grieving, when one of the cats pass
on to Starclan. Even though they had that loss, every cat is ready to rest in
their new home. Now, all that remains, is to find a
new Moonstone, or a communication stone to speak with Starclan, territory
boundaries, and new leaders in some of the clans.
“Brambeclaw wanted to be
deputy so much that is hurt. Why couldn‘t Firestar and Squirrelflight
trust him? He shut his eyes, his claws sinking into the ground as a wave of
hunger swept blackly under him, turning his blood to ice.” Brambleclaw is
stricken with envy. He thinks HE should be deputy, not Graystripe. Although,
Brambleclaw may be envious, he is extremely hungry and tired, which may get the
better of his emotions, making him cranky and over exhilarating his feelings. I
think Firestar and Squirrelflight do trust Brambleclaw, but maybe Firestar
doesn’t think he is fully ready.
I absolutely fell in love with this book! Its
details and plot were great, everything was so vivid, I
felt like I was there. Anyone who likes action and adventure, this is the
perfect book for them! Although this book was excellent, it is the 5th
one in the New Prophecy series, so be sure to read books 1-4 first!
