Mr. Ensey’s Language Arts Supply List
200 pages lined notebook paper

1 composition notebook- (can get 3 for 99 cents at Rite Aid!).
Students, think about the ones I showed you in class. No spiral bound
notebooks! Too many pages fall out of those. This will be your Writer’s Notebook. Decorate it any way you want! If possible, try to get one that has
different sections. If you can’t find that kind, no big deal. We’ll divide it
using Post-its.
#2 pencils, blue/black pens and
colored pens for editing/revising

A packet of Post-It notes- They can either be the 4x4 or 3x4
size. Whatever color you like. We’ll use these often in reading! Again, go with
the size I showed you in class!

One 2” plastic binder with pockets
and space for cover and side insert. To be used for your Writing Portfolio.

One regular binder to be used for
LA/SS.

12 tab dividers to organize your
notebook.
100 plastic sheet protectors, top
loading. To be used for your Writing
Portfolio)

4 colored highlighters

You
will be doing lots of work on the computer and will want a way to transfer
files from your class to home and back again. Here are a few options:
1. CDR or CDRWs- fairly cheap, holds
lots of files. You will need a CD burner on your home machine to work at
home, burn files and than bring them to school. This is a possible option, but
not as convenient or simple to use as option #2!
2. Flash Drives-Prices range from $10-$30 depending on the
number of megabytes, holds LOTS of files. Easy to use, easy to transport, easy to lose, so put your name on them with
a Sharpie. One of these would make your life easier in ALL your classes
this year. They work on any machine that has a USB port. If you can swing it,
go with this option.
