| Extra Credit Information |
You may turn in one extra credit assignment per
trimester.
They are each worth 5 points.
The extra credit should be completed during the
trimester in which you would like to receive credit.
The extra credit should be turned into the extra
credit/late work tray in the homework tent.

Field Trip
|
You may visit a science museum,
zoo, aquarium, museum of flight, nature center, complete a workshop/camp or
engage in other educational activities of this sort and write about your
experience. Write a paragraph on where you went, what you learned, and
what you liked most.

Millionaire Game
|
You may visit Jefferson's Lab and
win the Who Wants to
be a Millionaire Game. If you win print out the screen that says,
"You Won", put a heading on the paper and have a guardian sign the paper.
It is pretty tough (especially at the end), but keep trying and you will win
eventually. |
| Mini-Research topics |
You may research and write a paragraph on the following
topics.
Trimester 1: Galileo Galilee
Trimester 2: Red-shift/Blue shift (Hint: Waves)
Trimester 3: Formicary (Hint: Insects)
The paragraph should be in your own words. |
| Book Report |
Read the Recommended Reading Book displayed on the home page
and write up a book report. (If it is okay with your LA/SS teacher you
can use it for your LA/SS Class too.) |
| Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary |
You can become a Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary Manager with
the Washington Wildlife Department. Follow the link to get the
details.
