New Student Enrollment

The Pine Lake Middle School enrollment process typically begins in March for ALL students for the upcoming year. If your student:

Is currently enrolled in 5^th grade
and currently attends school in the Issaquah School District
and resides in the geographic region assigned to Pine Lake Middle School

you should receive a letter or phone call in early March with enrollment dates and information.

Early March, 2009	Letter sent by US mail to families of current 5^th grade students.
March/April	Humanities Plus information available on the district website
March 23, 2009	5^th grade teachers send home a registration packet
Morning of March 19 (GR), 23 (others)	5^th Grade students are invited to our school for a fun orientation (morning).
Evening of March 23, 2009	Parents and Guardians of 5^th graders are invited to our school for a more in-depth orientation (evening).
Wednesday, March 27, 2009	Registration material due. Issaquah School District students return the requested materials to their 5^th grade teacher. Non Issaquah School District students return these to the Pine Lake Middle School Registrar.
Beginning of May	Math placement letter sent out.
Tuesday, August 18, 2009	7th and 8th Taking care of business Day
Wednesday August 19, 2009	6th Grade "Taking Care of Business" day
Friday, August 21, 2009	6th Grade "Pride Day"

Late August/Early September	Transportation will notify families of bus routes
First Day of School, Sept 2, 2009	Class schedules are distributed to students
By the end of the first week of school	All school business should be completed (exception: school picture make-up day)
Sept 8, 2009	Curriculum Night - all grades

Students in the following situations will not be contacted automatically. If your student plans to attend Pine Lake Middle School next year, and any of the following apply, please contact our registrar, Jean Herman, to enroll.
