Here at Pine Lake, we believe that participating in basketball is a privilege. If you want to play, make sure you are doing all of these things:
· You must be passing all your classes. · Behavior in school must be appropriate. · Behavior at practice must be appropriate. · You must be healthy and be on the eligibility list. · Uniform must be complete. · You must attend the practice prior to the game. · You must have 10 practices prior to the first game.
If you are not following any of these rules, it might result in probation or not being able to participate in a game. Make sure you keep your grades up, because if you have a failing grade you will be placed on academic probation for 10 days. If you are still failing after the first 10 days, you will be on a second 10 day probation. During this second probation, you will be able to practice but will not be able to compete in games. If you are still failing after this, you will neither be able to practice or compete. If your grades raise, you will be removed from probation. If you are referred to the office for disciplinary reasons more than twice during the season you may be suspended depending on the severity of the infractions. If you acquire 3 unexcused practices at any time during the season you will not be able to compete in the following game. |
