As coaches, we feel goals are very
important. If realistically set, they not only help you measure
improvement, but act as a motivator as well.
As coaches, our goals are:

What do we do on the Pine Lake Track Team? |

We run, jump, and throw
(and have a good time). |

Who can participate? |
|
 |
Any PLMS student can
join. There are no cuts. Even if you are not the fastest runner, you
are still part of the team and will compete. |

 | How many people try out for track? |
|
 | About one third of the school tries out for track which
is about 300 students. |

 | If it rains, will it affect the meets or practices? |
|
 | No, we just get wet.
You just go out there and
run. Meets are delayed if there is lightning. |

 | Who are the coaches? |
|
 | We have 10 awesome coaches.
All of them are Pine Lake staff. |

 | How long do the meets usually last? |
|
 | Meets typically run from 3:00 pm- 7:30pm. |

What equipment do we
need for track? |

 | Clothes to work out in, running
shoes, sweats, windbreaker, water bottle, and spikes if you
want them. |

What are some things I
need to do to succeed in track? |
|
 | You need to stretch at home, get a
good nights sleep, drink a lot of water (NO POP!), run at
home on weekends, eat healthy, always do a cool down lap, and have
fun! |

Do I need to be at every
practice? |

 | It is important for you to be at every practice for your
assigned grade level. |
